Located in an exceptional enclave, on a hill summit, the Auditori Teulada Moraira (auditorium) is an exponent of the best 21st century Spanish architecture, apart from its theatrical programming that covers many artistic disciplines, it is also known for being environment-friendly and for promoting the values of the territory through a series of actions carried out each year.

The work of renowned architect Francisco Mangado from Navarra, he managed to combine the building’s daring formal exterior with a functional minimalist interior, while respecting the environment.

A difficult challenge, since the building is immersed in an environment of great landscape value. For this reason the Auditori Teulada Moraira has won two prestigious international awards in the field of architecture, the International Architecture Award, granted by the Chicago Athenaeum and the Riba European Award, granted by the Royal Institute of British Architects.

The Auditori Teulada Moraira overlooks a great valley, which, starting from that summit, reaches the sea step by step.

We could say that the Auditorium is the central axis of an immense natural amphitheater, with a dazzling cávea (grandstand) formed by hundreds of terraces of vineyards that are the stars of this nature show.

From its privileged position, the Auditori Teulada Moraira acts as a bridge and link between the two urban centers, one on the mountain and one on the coast. It is a lighthouse that metaphorically projects towards the sea through the vineyards.

The cultivation of vines, and its fruit, the Moscatell de Alejandría grape, have remodeled the landscape of a large part of the Marina Alta region.
